If you saw Paige VanZant on the street and you didn’t know who she was, you probably wouldn’t think she was tough.
But she is, and here’s proof (in case her previous matches haven’t already convinced you).
VanZant fought Jessica Rose-Clark in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 124, which went down in St. Louis on January 15.
As most MMA fans know, she lost via unanimous decision.
What they might not know is that she broke her arm in the first round…but she kept on fighting!
VanZant posted about it on Instagram just hours before the time of this writing:
Well… I broke my arm in the first! I was able to finish the fight but as you can see, had a hard recovering and throwing my right. Thank you to the @ufcand to my opponent. Thank you to my coaches and most importantly my head coach’s @therealburkecamp and @fabianoscherner . I’ll be back better and stronger than ever! it’s all apart of the fight game. God had other plans for me. darn spinning back fist.
In fact, not only did Paige keep fighting, but she showed no signs of pain. If anything, she looked perfectly comfortable and light on her feet.
UFC President Dana White posted a picture of the injury on his Facebook page and congratulated Paige on her toughness:
Much respect to Paige VanZant for fighting the rest of that fight with a broken arm!!!

Paige VanZant may very well be the toughest fighter in the UFC.
