The UFC has welcomed yet another Olympic athlete to their fight roster.
Mark O. Madsen, a Greco-Roman wrestler from Denmark, will have his first fight for the promotion on September 28 against 12-4 fighter Danilo Belluardo, who hails from Italy.
Madsen has competed twice in the Olympics, bringing home silver in Rio de Janeiro three years ago. Since he began his professional MMA career in 2013, he’s won all eight of his fights. Belluardo made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 153 in June, losing via TKO to Joel Alvarez.
Madsen vs. Belluardo will take place at UFC Copenhagen on September 28, with the main event being a middleweight fight between Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier.
