It’s official folks! The 2012 San Diego Trials wrapped up this March 10 and 11, and the organizers have provided GRACIEMAG with the official results from the event. The weekend provided Jiu-Jitsu enthusiasts with some fantastic, competitive matches. Sunday, in particular, was action packed, with competitors vying aggressively for those coveted airline tickets to Abu Dhabi.

Black belt Xande Ribeiro of Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu was king for a day, winning both his weight division, facing Romulo Barral of Gracie Barra in the final, and then the absolute, where André Galvão of Atos was his opposition in the decider. The crowd could not get enough of the suspenseful and exciting matches, rising to their feet and clapping over and over again and giving Xande a standing ovation at the end of the day for his near-perfect performances on the day. Xande himself was resolved to tears as his hand was raised after his electrifying win against André.
But every belt in every division was impressive, displaying superior talent while fighting it out to get that gold medal and a trip to Abu Dhabi. So, with no further ado, here are the men and women who received those coveted all-expenses-paid trips to the 2012 Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Professional Championship this coming April 12-14:
