Fabio Andrade is one of the black belts contributing to team Nova União’s future by producing new talent, some of whom are already standing out in the lower belt groups. At his social-benefit project in the Bangu borough of Rio de Janeiro, he attends to approximately 120 youths.
“There is no cost at all. I just want to provide them opportunities I was unable to have here in the community,” he says.
The black belt recently promoted thirty students at the year-end celebration alongside his friend Robson Pinheiro, who made the trip from Switzerland for the ceremony.
Among the athletes Fabio has produced, Kauê Damasceno, Isaque Bahiense, Márcio André, Paulo Henrique, Vinícius Carvalho, and Iris Batista have all been coming up with solid results, including Brazilian national titles this year.
Keep an eye out for them…
