Neiman Gracie To Family Members: ‘Stop Teaching So Much, Come Fight’

Famed mixed martial artist Neiman Gracie has called out his family members, challenging them to join him in mixed martial arts.

In an interview with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting, the 28-year-old cage fighter and BJJ medalist asked his cousins to don some MMA gloves and keep the Gracie family’s legacy alive.

I wish that my other family members, my cousins, they see me fighting, and they also come to the sport because we don’t have many people here representing…come on, guys, come fight. Stop teaching so much and let’s fight.

Neiman, who says he has been practicing since he was little, went professional in BJJ in 2013, and has won several medals both at home and internationally.

Neiman holds a 5-0 undefeated record in MMA, and is hoping to retain his streak when he faces opponent David Mafore at Bellator 180, which will be going down at the world-famous Madison Square Garden.

Neiman Gracie is a descendant of the famous Gracie family, who are known for introducing Brazilian jiu-jitsu to the world. Most of the family members won accolades in jiu-jitsu, and even in MMA. After all, it was Royce Gracie who helped bring mixed martial arts to the world’s attention.

Neiman, however, is the first member of the Gracie family to take part in a Madison Square Garden fight.
