It’s been almost three years since we last saw Nate Diaz wrapped and ready for UFC battle, but the welterweight is finally coming back. Diaz will meet Anthony Pettis, still at 170lbs., on August 17 in Anaheim. Dana White broke the news himself on social media:
Diaz and Pettis join co-headliners Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic. Diaz was last seen in his rematch vs. Conor McGregor, one of most watched fights in UFC history.
“Showtime” Pettis fought back in March, winning over Wonderboy Thompson via TKO. His last loss was to Tony Ferguson back in October 2018.
