UFC lightweight and BJJ black belt Nate Diaz — who still holds the distinction of being the only man to defeat reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in a UFC match — met up with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo.
Nate posted the picture on his Instagram account:
Robert is Metallica’s fourth bassist. He replaced former bassist Jason Newsted back in 2003 after Newsted left the band to pursue his own interests. Since joining the band, Robert Trujillo, has played on the albums Death Magnetic and Hardwired…To Self-Destructed (he is credited on the album St. Anger, but he did not actually play any parts).
By the way, Robert’s 12-year-old son, Tye, is also a bassist — and a phenomenal one! Not only does he play in his own band, The Helmets, but he recently filled in for Korn bassist, Fieldy, when Korn played in South America.
