World Jiu-Jitsu champion Mackenzie Dern already has a date to make her second MMA fight. The black belt is scheduled to fight on October 14 at Legacy 61, to be held in Dallas, Texas. Mackenzie announced the fight through her social networks. Her opponent has yet to be announced.
Dern made her debut in pro MMA in July at Legacy 58 and defeated Kenia Rosas by unanimous decision. This week, Ben Henderson, the former UFC champion and her teammate, told MMAFighting.com that Mackenzie will be bigger than Ronda Rousey.
“Dern will be bigger than Ronda Rousey before Ronda Rousey lost. She’s going to be huge. She’s going to be big. She has an excellent work ethic. She’s an amazing athlete. She definitely needs to work on her MMA skills, but her ground game is phenomenal.”, said Bendo to MMA Hour on Monday.
