More from UFC 116: Lesnar’s opponents, Wand’s knee surgery

As always, UFC president Dana White used the post-event press conference to release news of what lays ahead for the organization this Saturday in Las Vegas after UFC 116.

Brock Lesnar unified the heavyweight title by beating interim champion Shane Carwin. And there are a few contenders in line to try and take champion’s post.

“You’ll see Cain Velasquez against Brock,” said Dana, who went one further in announcing the winner will face the winner of the Junior Cigano versus Roy Nelson matchup to take place at UFC 117, for a future heavyweight title fight.

Right after beating Yoshihiro Akiyama, Chris Leben asked for Wanderlei Silva. The fight may materialize, but Leben will have to wait awhile. The reason: Wand will undergo knee surgery.
