UFC President Dana White wasn’t the only one in the mixed martial arts world to rip referee Mario Yamasaki a new one over his late stoppage in the Valentina Shevchenko-Priscila Cachoeira fight last night at UFC Fight Night 125 in Belem, Brazil.
A host of MMA fighters — both former and current — took the time to give the referee a piece of their mind.
Former UFC fighter and color commentator Kenny Florian was one of them. Like Dana White, Florian has never been shy about voicing his opinion on bad reffing, and he didn’t hold back last night.
Not gonna stop the fight?! Really?!

UFC Lightweight Jared Gordon was also surprised at how long it took Yamasaki to end the fight:
Jesus Mario, could you wait any longer? #ufcbelem

MMA fighter and multiple-time BJJ World Champion Gilbert Burns didn’t mince any words when describing Yamasaki. His tweet was vicious, and right to the point.
Yamasaki is the worst referee ever!

Patrick Cote couldn’t resist joining in the chorus.
OMG Yamasaki WTF are you doing !!!!!

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos took a more positive route, offering a solution to dealing with bad referees.
Corners in @ufc should start throw the towel in mma just like in boxing when referes like Yamasaki it's in change of stoppages #UFCBelem

Is it time for referee Mario Yamasaki to find a new line of work?
