The MMA world is mourning the loss of Kyle Reyes, who has reportedly died unexpectedly at age 30.
The news was reported by MMA Junkie following numerous social media posts from friends and family members of Reyes, who was a part of Xtreme Couture.
A GoFundMe was created for Reyes upon his admittance to the ICU, saying that Reyes underwent surgery for a torn bicep on Friday and was found unresponsive in his hotel room on Saturday. The fundraiser page states that doctors found an infection in his lungs, a fever, and swelling in the brain caused by a lack of oxygen. Though the GoFundMe’s latest update says that Reyes was “more stable” at the time of the writing, it appears that he has since passed away.
