Rogério Minotouro now knows who his next opponent, substituting an injured Forrest Griffin, in the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be. Jason Brilz has been called up to take Griffin’s place and face Minotouro at UFC 114 on May 29, in Las Vegas.
With a record of 18 wins, two losses and one draw, Brilz has nine submissions and five knockouts in his favor. With three wins and one loss in the UFC, this will be his fifth outing in the UFC.
Minotouro, who made his UFC debut knocking out Luis Banha, will have his second trip to the octagon. Should he win, the Brazilian is a strong candidate for a title shot.
UFC 114 also has a main attraction former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans against also-former champion Quinton Jackson.
