Mikey Musumeci To Face Marcelo Cohen At Next Who’s Number One

The next matchup for Who’s Number One has been announced, and FloGrappling has revealed that Mikey Musumeci will be taking on Marcelo Cohen in a superfight at their March 26 event.

The match is the third to be announced for the promotion’s upcoming event, which will feature Gordon Ryan vs. Vagner Rocha as the main event. Nicky Rodriguez will face Yuri Simoes in another big match on the main card.

Musumeci is one of jiu-jitsu’s biggest stars, winning Worlds three times and taking home Pans gold in 2016. He, like most jiu-jitsu competitors, had a relatively quiet 2020, but he still managed to take home a big win at Euros earlier in the year. This will be his first competitive endeavor of 2021, also marking his WNO debut.

Cohen is a 2016 No-Gi Pans champion, also boasting a 2017 win at No-Gi American Nationals. A Combat Jiu-Jitsu veteran (who is also scheduled to compete at the next CJJ Worlds tournament on March 21), Cohen most recently competed in the co-main event of F2W 153 against Junny Ocasio back in September. This will be his promotional debut as well.

There are still more matches to be announced for this event, so keep an eye on this space.

Who’s Number One: Gordon Ryan vs. Vagner Rocha will take place on Friday, March 26 and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
