About a month ago, Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt, Mike Davila reported that he had been asked to leave his gym at Bronx Martial Arts Academy. Davila claimed he was asked to leave because of his “scheduled participation in the upcoming EBI event [Eddie Bravo Invitational 7 held on July 16].”

Davila is now claiming that other students at the gym were asked to do the same when they came to EBI 7 in order to support him.
“Thank you guys for coming out to Cali showing me love and for supporting and just being my boys. Apparently to some it’s wrong to be seen with me these days. We are friends regardless where we are. I’m sorry this has caused you to be asked to leave as well but I’m happy that despite all that, you all have been there and helped me prep for this event. So blessed to have that type of support during such an important time. Thank you guys I love you for taking the time out and sharing this with me.”

Bronx Martial Arts lists Renzo Gracie and John Danaher as two of its instructors. Danaher reportedly did not shake Mike Davila’s hand after his loss to Eddie Cummings at EBI 7.
