Former UFC batamweight champion Miesha Tate has been hired as the new vice president of ONE Championship.
Tate, who was one of the first women to be signed to the UFC, will be moving to Singapore to fulfill her duties for ONE. She’s one of multiple former UFC fighters who have taken on new roles at the Asian MMA promotion — ONE recently signed Eddie Alvarez, and Demetrious Johnson also switched over after a unique and unconventional “trade” that will also see former ONE fighter Ben Askren competing for the UFC.
Details on Tate’s new role are sparse so far, but it will be interesting to see if any more fighters who made their name in the UFC find a new home at ONE.
