Mayssa Bastos, Edwin Najmi, Josh Hinger, & More Prepare To Make Sparks Fly In Seattle Fight 2 Win Event

Fight 2 Win is back in Seattle for another west coast war this weekend, and this card is so stacked, it might just tip over.

Josh Hinger will be making a return to the stage at Fight 2 Win 124, facing off against Arnaldo Maidana de Oliveira. Hinger, who’s qualified for ADCC and will be competing in the Championship later this month, is a multiple-time world champion and one of the best BJJ athletes of his generation. De Oliveira, however, has an impressive resume of his own that includes an American Nationals title and a 2017 World Championship title. This 195lb no-gi match will be a fun one to watch… plus an exciting preview as to what we can expect from Hinger in just a few weeks.

Just a couple matches later, we’ll see Karen Antunes go up against Mayssa Bastos in a 120lb gi match. Antunes is a familiar face on the F2W stage, and she’s backed up her multiple high-level IBJJF titles with plenty of impressive performances for Fight 2 Win. Even an athlete of Antunes’ caliber, however, is going to be pushed to her limit by an opponent like Bastos. The young black belt already has a seemingly endless list of first-place titles, winning nearly every competition she enters. This match will be a battle between two competitors at the top of their game, and we can expect some serious fast-paced action from them both.

Following a high-stakes co-main event that will see Brian Johnson and Aaron Morris face off for the black belt maters featherweight gi title, the main event of the evening will kick off. Current black belt middleweight no-gi champ Edwin Najmi will be defending his belt against Marcelo Mafra. Both competitors have very recently graced the F2W stage, with Najmi claiming his belt at F2W 120 in Pittsburgh and Mafra facing off against Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes at F2W 122 just a couple of weeks ago. Najmi’s been on a tear recently, with wins at Third Coast Grappling, F2W, and Polaris, but could Mafra be the one to break his streak?

Watch these matches and many more when Fight 2 Win 124 streams live on FloGrappling on Saturday, September 7!
