With the Rio Open in Brazil this past weekend, the Masters International Open ran right alongside it as in previous years. Previously known as Masters & Seniors, this is the first year the Senior divisions were absent as every division is a master division starting from 1 to 6.
Athletes thirty-years-old and up can compete in this tournament held at the Tijuca Tenis Club in Rio de Janeiro.
The team results for the championship are as follows:
1 – Nova União – 205
2 – GF Team – 139
3 – Gracie Barra – 136
For the Master 1 division, the double-gold champion was Paulo Jose Pinto of Alliance who won both the heavyweight division and the absolute.
For the ladies in the Master 1 division, Silvana Cristina Silva Abreu of Nove Uniao conquered the absolute after having no one in her super-heavyweight division.
