Master’s son shines at Euro Open, teaches how to overcome big guys

The crop of children of aces remains promising in Jiu-Jitsu. After Roger and Kayron Gracie, Mackenzie Dern, Raoni Barcellos and so many others, GRACIEMAG.com proudly presents reader Victor Genovesi Paiva, another champion with pedigree.

Victor, 19, is the son of Alliance master Alexandre “Gigi” Paiva. After snatching the Brazilian No-Gi Nationals last year, he now crowned himself purple belt champion of Europe, in Lisbon. In the final, the lightweight had his hands full beating England’s Daniel Agard (BJJ School), the winner of the last Abu Dhabi World Pro, where Daniel was a blue belt.
