Marlon’s eyes on belt and Aldo vs Faber

Marlon Sandro carries on strong in the featherweight division and on June 20, as confirmed by GRACIEMAG.com back in March, he will fight for the Sengoku belt against Masanori Kanehara. “I feel he’s a well-rounded fighter, good standing and on the ground, is very flexible. At the end of last year, he fought Kid Yamamoto and got two knockdowns, so it will be a good and tough fight. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best. He’s the champion and I’m going to train a lot. I’m already familiar with his game and I’ll practice a lot of standup. I believe he won’t want to strike with me and I’ll be ready for any situation.”

During the Dojo Combat event in Brazil, Marlon spoke with our collaborator Diego Marcello. The fighter spoke of the challenge, his desire to fight in the USA and of the Jose Aldo’s title defense against Urijah Faber, to take place this Saturday. Check out what the fighter had to say (in Portuguese):
