Just a few months ago GOAT nominee Marcelo Garcia announced he was looking to return to competition, hinting that we may see him at a future Kasai event.
Today the living legend posted an update of sorts, sharing that he’s on the mend after having successful surgery to correct a longstanding bone spur which had been giving him problems.
He’ll be more powerful than ever now:
Garcia is a multiple IBJJF Worlds, Brazilian Nationals, and ADCC champion. He last competed in 2013, taking a break to focus on growing his school and family. We wish him a fast recovery and lethal return to the mats.
