Yesterday, a video began to circulate of a man wearing a jiu-jitsu hat attempting to strike a woman as she asked him how he knew where she was staying.
According to the woman who was filming, the footage came after a verbal altercation that started on the plane. She described her account of the incident in the video’s description:
“This huge creep say next to me on my flight from JFK – HKG on Cathay Pacific Flight 845 rubbing his arm up against mine, hogging the arm rest. When I complained and told him to keep to his side, he told me to “shut the f*ck up, and then makes a scene, trying to get me to move my seat. After the head flight attendant speaks with he settles down. But then, after I leave the flight in Hong Kong, on the way to immigration hall, he starts walking next to me on the moving sidewalks, gets in my face, and asks, “Are you nervous, Susan?” When I ask him not to speak to me, he repeats THE ADDRESS of where I’m staying, and says he will see me there. That’s when I started recording, and he moved towards me to take a swing at me twice. He is wearing a Jit Jitsu hat. Police were called here, and they’re looking for him in the airport, and will file a report also in NYC. Anyone else have any advice on finding out who this is? The more public, and shared, the safer, I feel. He is likely a student at #RenzoGracie #NYC and in Hong Kong for the Copa Hong Kong.”
The Jiu-Jitsu Times reached out to Renzo Gracie Academy NYC for comment and received the following response:
The woman who posted the video said she had shared it to keep others safe. Given the possibility that the man in the video may be attending the Copa Hong Kong, please be on the lookout if you will also be attending this event.
