Russia’s Alexander Shlemenko, winner of the Bellator middleweight GP, failed to overcome title holder Hector Lombard this Thursday, at the thirty-fourth installment of the event. The Cuban won via unanimous decision after a lively fight that brought his tally to twenty-one bouts undefeated. Before leaving the cage, Lombard called out Strikeforce champion Ronaldo Jacaré.

In the female fight, Zoila Frausto, girlfriend of Brazilian fighter Jorge Gurgel, and Japan’s Meguma Fuji had an evenly-matched bout, and by split decision the American was declared the first champion of the Bellator 115-pound division.
