At the Eddie Bravo Invitational 8, Liz Carmouche showed us what we already knew: that she a great grappler.
Carmouche and her opponent, Maria Henderson, went to the ground early. Henderson ended up with Liz in her guard. Carmouche stood up and secured the win via heel hook early in the round.
Liz Carmouche is a UFC bantamweight and former marine. She is probably best known for being part of the first ever UFC’s women’s match, where she succumbed to a first-round armbar at the hands of former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
Carmouche trains at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu.
