Lavar Johnson suffered an injury just days before UFC on Fox 5, resulting in his fight with Brendan Schaub being dropped from the event. However, the match-up is being rescheduled and will likely take place at UFC 157 on Feb. 23 in Anaheim, Calif., according to GRACIMAG.com sources.

Following his withdraw from the card, Lavar asked forgiveness via Twitter and expressed his hope that Brendan should still fight on the UFC on Fox 5 card, which took place last Saturday, Dec. 8, where Ben Henderson defended his lightweight belt against Nate Diaz.

UFC 157 is headlined by the company’s first female fight, a match between newly crowned women’s champ Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche. Additionally, reports say the card will feature a match-up between Urijah Faber and Ivan Menjivan, as well as a light heavyweight bout between Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida.

News of the Schaub-Johnson match was first reported by MMAjunkie.com.
