The Las Vegas leg of the Abu Dhabi World Pro tryouts kick off January 29 and the Fernando Paradeda-promoted event is brimming with news.
The latest is that Carlson Gracie black belt José Mário Sperry will hold a seminar. The activities are restricted to those signed up for the trials and will be held on January 28, the day of weigh-ins at the Las Vegas Sports Center. The event is open to participants from all nations, despite being held in the USA. Furthermore, there will be a four-hour television broadcast of the event and over the internet in its entirety. In all, thirteen champions will earn all-expenses-paid trips to the main event in Abu Dhabi. Counting all the prizes, the tryouts will pay out 80 thousand dollars to participants.
Also noteworthy is that the winner of the No-Gi absolute division, exclusive to Paradeda-promoted tryouts (Las Vegas, San Diego, and Gramado), will earn a ticket to Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Pro Kids and Abu Dhabi Pro Masters and Seniors tournaments will be held alongside the World Pro tryouts.
