The Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, recently finished the two-year, obligatory military service that all young men in South Korea have to serve. It was his first time in the octagon since his loss to reigning Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo back in 2013.
However, when he stepped into the cage against Dennis Bermudez, it certainly didn’t seem like he had any ring rust.
Zombie stuffed takedown after takedown against his opponent, and though he was rocked early with a right hand…

…Sung stayed sharp. Halfway through the round, Zombie dropped Bermudez with a clean uppercut. There was no need for a follow-up.
South Korea is currently suffering from its own political problems, and morale in the small peninsula is low. Sung, however, encouraged his countrymen and women to stay strong.
In fact, he did more than just encourage them; he showed them.
Winner by first-round knockout: The Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung.
