Kevin Holland is stepping into the Octagon on short notice to fight Marvin Vettori at April 10’s UFC Vegas 23 event. He replaces Darren Till, who was forced to withdraw due to an injury.
The news was confirmed by MMA Fighting.
Holland will be fighting just three weeks after he went the distance with Derek Brunson in the main event of UFC Vegas 22, ultimately losing by unanimous decision. Prior to that, he was on a five-fight winning streak, finishing four of those bouts by KO or TKO.
Vettori is currently on a four-fight winning streak, most recently fighting to a unanimous decision victory over Jack Hermansson in December. He’d been hoping for a title shot with a win against Till, but opted to stay on the April 10 card after his former opponent had to drop out of the event.
UFC Vegas 23 will take place on April 10.
