UFC Ultimate Fighter alumni, plus a past UFC Lightweight Title and UFC Featherweight Title challenger Kenny Florian competed in ibjjf New York open earlier today. Florian, who has been retired from professional MMA competition for several years now, he competed in a jiu-jitsu competition for the first time in well over a decade. Florian, since retiring a few years back, has been a color commentator on UFC events and has been appearing on several UFC related shows on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 respectively. Florian, while training for his return to the jiu-jitsu world, has been training with UFC veteran Ryan Hall and jiu-jitsu ace AJ Azargam. Florian is currently nearing the age of forty years old, will be competing in the 30-35 years of age division, with his reasoning being that he wants to face the best competition possible and that is what he will be doing upon his return to competition. Unfortunately Kenny lost his match today at New York Open
Can someone who knows the @ibjjf #BJJ rules tell me if this is back points? 3 seconds with both
