After much speculation, Keenan Cornelius will take part in his first match at the EBI (Eddie Bravo Invitational). The renowned black belt from America will be featured along with sixteen other grapplers competing for the light heavyweight championship.
Cornelius has gained a huge following across the world since winning the ‘Jiu-Jitsu Grand Slam’ during his lower belt wrestling campaigns. He was generally considered to be the best brown belts in history before being awarded his black belt in 2013 by Andre Galvao.
The Invitational is planned for November 6, 2016. As with past events, the Los Angeles Orpheum Theatre will be the venue. No other names have been announced.
Prior to the ninth edition of EBI, the eighth installment of the competition is set for September 11, 2016. This will showcase the talent of the middleweights, with Gordon Ryan – the open class champion – taking center stage.
