The lineups for Polaris Squads 3 have been completed, with Kade Ruotolo becoming the eighth member of Team USA and Ben Dyson rounding off Team UK/Ireland.
The grappling promotion announced back in April that two-time ADCC champion JT Torres would be leading Team USA for the third installment of their team-based event, while Darragh O’Conaill — who has won Euros in no-gi — will lead Team UK/Ireland. Since then, Polaris has been steadily announcing additional team members, and now, fans will know who to expect when they tune in to watch the event on July 17.
The -95kg division for Team UK/Ireland will see Polaris veterans Dyson, Daniel Strauss, Bradley Hill, and Kieran Davern take on Team USA’s teen phenom William Tackett, 10th Planet stars Richie Martinez and Jon Blank, and of course, Torres.
The -75kg division has also been stacked with some of the best talent from both regions, with three-division Polaris champion Ash Williams joining O’Conaill and ADCC European Trials winners Tom Halpin and Ross Nichols on Team UK/Ireland. Team USA will be sending WNO veteran PJ Barch, Subversiv 4 vet Nick Ronan, and Pans champ Edwin Najmi to compete along with Ruotolo.
Previous Polaris Squads events have showcased some incredible skill and technique from athletes across the globe, and with a lineup like this, it looks like Polaris Squads 3 will be no different.
Polaris Squads will take place on Saturday, July 17 and can be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
