Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison is set to make her MMA debut on June 21.
Harrison will be making her debut at the Professional Fighters League (formerly the WSOF). She will fight in the 145-pound division. According to MMA Fighting, she has an opponent, but did not want to name her.
“I’ve been waiting for a long time to fight,” Harrison told MMA Fighting. “First, it was just me, I wanted to get my feet wet, get in there, see if I liked getting punched in the face and now that I’ve established that I do, we’ve sort of been waiting for the PFL to get their stuff together. Their stuff is together.”
The fight will take place in Chicago.
