The IBJJF‘s Montreal Open is set to go down September 4, a Sunday, and everyone’s getting ready for some high-level Jiu-Jitsu. For example, signed up at middleweight is our GMA Jorge Britto, an old school Gracie Humaitá and Gracie Tijuca student under Royler Gracie, Vini Aieta and Saulo Ribeiro.
Britto, besides competing, will lead a nearly 30-strong team from Toronto BJJ, a school that’s always in the mix whenever there’s a big championship in Canada or nearby.
Another GMA affiliate school that’s got a group gearing up to go is the local Gracie Barra school under Bruno Fernandes – nearly 40 competitors from his team are signed up.
