Johnny Eduardo gets second chance in UFC

Rio de Janeiro native Johnny Eduardo had rattled off an impressive unbeaten streak of 11 wins in MMA before crashing to a halt on his debut in the octagon at UFC Rio, when he was outpointed by countryman Raphael Assunção. The Nova União fighter, who had not tasted defeat since 2007, will get a chance to redeem himself in the UFC cage.

As reported by Junior Samurai, Johnny will be back in the world’s greatest mixed martial arts show on November 19, when he will have his work cut out for him against another standup specialist in Michael McDonald, a fighter who has just one blemish in his 14-fight career, tied at 1-1 with Cole Escovedo. At the same 139th Ultimate Fighting Championship at the San Jose, California, HP Pavilion, Shogun faces off with Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva takes on Cung Le, and Urijah Faber squares off with Brian Bowles.
