Floyd Mayweather just got done beating an MMA fighter in a boxing match, but is he ready to take on an MMA fighter in an MMA match? Floyd apparently thinks he is, and according to Joe Rogan, he’s been talking to UFC President Dana White about fighting in the UFC.
White, however, isn’t so confident in Mayweather’s abilities in the cage.
“Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC,” Rogan said on his podcast. “Like legitimately. I texted him, I go ‘Is Floyd really talking about fighting MMA?’ He goes ‘Yeah, he’s f**king crazy. I told him he’d get killed. But he’s still talking about doing it.”
It should be pointed out that Floyd is 40 years old, which is old for an MMA fighter, never mind starting an MMA career. Could his boxing talents help him in the cage, though?
Unfortunately, fans can only speculate now. You can check out Joe Rogan’s podcast below.
