Dan Lewis created the short film “ROLL: Jiu-Jitsu in SoCal”, and that endeavor was self-funded. Members of the BJJ community gave the film a warm reception upon release. In mid-2015, Lewis launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund his next film, entitled “Jiu-Jitsu VS The World”. While the campaign didn’t reach its $15,000 funding goal, Lewis took the $9,000 raised and started work on the film.
The film follows some prominent figures in the world of Jiu-Jitsu, but Lewis focuses upon the everyday disciple, too. He recently completed the trip across the United States and is working on the film in post-production. In the next few months, Jiu-Jitsu VS The World will be available for all to see!
