In Yellowknife, Canada it was -29 degrees Fahrenheit last week. In Sao Paulo, Brazil it was 104 degrees Fahrenheit. What do these two extremes have in common? Both locations had fighters of team Alliance training hard in preparation for the upcoming tournament season. These men and women are working hard under their commanding generals, and improving daily. Alliance knows that as the defending world champions they have a target on their backs. With this in mind we come to some words from Alliance’s founder Romero “Jacare” Cavalcanti:
Confident, Jacare said, “With the big tournaments approaching we need to have our troops ready for combat. This year we are the team to be beaten; and everybody is making us their target. This is bringing the pressure on us. The Alliance is very confident that we will be ready and prepared. The goal for the year is to win the Grand Slam of Jiu-Jitsu, the European, Pan, Mundial, and Brazilian championships. With this in mind we will bring our A game. We will show what we are made of.”
