Though all the main card matches on FloGrappling’s upcoming Who’s Number One event have been released, we still have a couple more match announcements to look forward to, and one of them is between two of the top up-and-coming black belts in the sport.
The company has announced that the first of their two preliminary matches will take place between Silver Fox black belt Danielle Kelly and AOJ black belt Jessa Khan.
Kelly was promoted early last year after making waves as a colored belt for years, and she’s found a few opportunities to compete against some of the best in the game since then. She went up against 10th Planet phenom Grace Gundrum in a special match at July’s Jiu-Jitsu Overtime event, and in October, she submitted UFC veteran and fellow black belt Roxanna Modafferi at Submission Hunter Pro 60.
Khan is a well-rounded competitor and has dominated her division at many of the top BJJ competitions in the world at each belt level. She kicked off 2020 with a win at Euros and later defeated Vicky Hoang at a previous installment of WNO. Having just earned her black belt in October under the Mendes brothers, she’ll have a worthy test of her skills against the submission-hunting Kelly.
This match and the other prelim match for WNO will be streamed live for free across FloGrappling’s website, app, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. The main card, which will be headlined by a match between Craig Jones and Ronaldo Junior, will be available to stream live with a FloGrappling subscription.
WNO will take place on Friday, February 26 and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
