Ildemar Marajó gets hard-fought win at Jungle Fight 41

The 41st installment of Jungle Fight, Latin America’s biggest MMA event, played out before a packed Prudente de Moraes Gynasium this Saturday in Itu, São Paulo State. The main event on the seven-fight card saw Ildemar Marajó outpoint Eder Jones and move ahead in the middleweight GP. Another to put in a stellar performance and advance in the GP was Ederson “Lion” Macedo, who beat Vitor Figueiredo. Now, both Ildemar and Ederson will need to win just one more fight in order to get a shot at the divisional title. In another of the bouts that most moved the crowd on the day, the hometown fighter, Douglas Bertazine, brought the crowd to its feet with his win.

Bruno Menezes defeated Mateus Martins via KO at 4:36 min of R1;
Ederson Lion defeated Vitor Figueiredo via submission at 2:30 min of R1;
Fabio Defendeti defeated Tiago Carioca via desistence after R2.
