Hugo Marques, Carina Santi win double gold at Brazilian No-Gi Nationals

Last weekend, Tijuca Tennis Club in Rio held the 2018 Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship.
By the end of Sunday, two names stood out above the rest. Hugo Marques of Soul Fighters and Carina Santi of G13 BJJ each took down their weight division as well as the absolute.
Hugo’s double success came as he beat Ygor Rodrigues (Marcio Rodrigues) in the middleweight final and then Felipinho César (Unity) in the open division. Carina had no heavyweight opponents, but defeated Aline Xavier (GFTeam) in the absolute.
World champion Antônio Braga Neto, and stars like Alexandre Vieira, Thiago Sá and Maysa Bastos, also made it to the top of the podium. Check out these and more results below.
