Team Lloyd Irvin’s Mahamed Aly was the standout of the 2016 Houston Open, this Saturday.
The Brazilian won both the ultraheavy division and the open class.
In his weight class, Aly beat long-time rival Jared Dopp by points (watch the video below).
In the open class, after finishing Dopp with an attack to the leg the semifinal, Aly became the champion when an injured Inacio Neto forfeited the match.
