Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg are set to face off at UFC 219, which will be going down live on December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The match is a chance for Holly Holm to make up for her unsuccessful attempt at winning the UFC’s inaugural Featherweight Championship belt back in February to Germaine de Randamie in at UFC 208 — a loss which came with plenty of controversy, considering de Randamie landed some punches after the bell.
Furthermore, this a chance for Holly Holm to etch her name even deeper into the annals of women’s MMA. Holm already has the distinction of being the woman to end the reign of the first and former UFC Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey. If she were to pull off a win against Cyborg, she would not only be the only woman to have defeated the two most dominant athletes in women’s MMA, but she would be the first women in the UFC to hold a title in two different divisions.
Can Holly Holm make history before the New Year? MMA fans will have to wait and see.
