Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo will be making their Octagon returns in May for what is sure to be an intense bantamweight title bout.
ESPN has announced that Cejudo will be defending his bantamweight title against Aldo, who is a former featherweight champion for the promotion.
The fight will be Aldo’s second in the bantamweight division following a controversial split-decision loss against Marlon Moraes back in December. Cejudo’s last fight was also against Moraes and resulted in a TKO win that earned him the bantamweight title back in June of last year. Cejudo has been calling for a fight against Aldo since Aldo’s division debut, and despite outcry from other bantamweight contenders who have been hoping for a title shot, he’ll now be getting it.
Cejudo vs. Aldo will take place on UFC 250 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on May 9 of this year.
