The effects of McGregor’s alleged assault of a bar patron this past April were recently revealed in detail from the victim himself. In a lengthy interview with the Irish Daily Star, the purposefully anonymous man claimed to have been in pain for a week following the incident. “I can take a punch. It was sore for about a week. It wasn’t killing me or anything,” the man told the Irish Daily Star.
The man also stated his belief that the punch was for declining the MMA star’s offer of Proper 12 whiskey. “I am sitting on the barstool just having a quiet pint with my friend then all of a sudden because I refuse his drink I get a punch, you don’t need that in life,” the man told the Irish Daily Star.
McGregor is set to face charges later this year.
