Yesterday, all was not well in a small, but important corner of the internet. Beloved internet (and real-life) instructor Kent Peters had his Instagram account suddenly deleted due to an old repost of a UFC video. The deletion caused him to lose 20.5k followers who enjoyed his steady stream of free technique videos, and given that the ban seemed permanent, Peters had no choice but to create a whole new account.
After the Jiu-Jitsu Times covered the story, Peters got some good news: a couple of BJJ enthusiasts who happen to work at Facebook saw the post and went to bat for him. Now, we’re happy to let you know that the hundreds and hundreds of technique videos that Peters had lost yesterday are back online and ready for your inquisitive eyes.
Peters will keep his new account in case the mighty fist of Instagram comes down again, but for now, it looks like we’ll be safe to enjoy his content for the foreseeable future.
