Grappling Industries will host a twenty-minute superfight between Fight Sports athlete Vagner Rocha and GFTeam Toledo athlete Dante Leon at their Miami tournament on June 23.
Promoter David Aguzzi made the announcement on his Facebook page earlier today, saying that he was “happy we could put together this really good super fight for everyone.”
Rocha is a black belt whose long list of accomplishments include two ADCC Trial championships and multiple impressive performances at EBI. He also won bronze at ADCC last year. He’s also won multiple matches at Fight to Win Pro.
Leon, who earned his black belt less than a year ago, won No-Gi Pans and No-Gi American Nationals in 2017. He also has an extensive and impressive resume as a colored belt, having won championships at No-Gi Worlds, Gi and No-Gi Pans, and many IBJJF Open tournaments before he earned his black belt.
Per Aguzzi’s post, the match will be streamed live (and for free) on the Grappling Industries Facebook page. It will then be uploaded to YouTube the following week. Make sure you’re following Grappling Industries on Facebook for updates about this event.
