The UAEJJF Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Tour made its third stop this weekend in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Hundreds of competitors gathered at the HSBC Arena for two days of thrilling action.
Ricardo Evangelista and Tayane Porfirio finished the event as the stand out in the most important divisions.
Evangelista won double gold in the +94kg and the open class of the adult male black belt division.
An armbar on Victor Honório secured the title in his weight class and after that he choked Herico Pinto from the back to win the absolute.
Still a brown belt, Tayane was fearless in her matches against black belt opponents in the female brown/black belt division.
First she beat Claudia Val 2-0 for the +70kg title and then she outscored Tammy Griego 13-0 for the absolute gold medal and money prize.
