After getting approval from the Philadelphia to host events in the city throughout October, Fight 2 Win has announced a huge main event for F2W 155.
10th Planet teen phenom Grace Gundrum will be taking on decorated black belt Pati Fontes in the main event of Fight 2 Win 155. Fontes currently holds the black belt flyweight no-gi title, and Gundrum, who earned her black belt in July, will be challenging her for the title.
Fontes most recently took the stage at F2W 153, where she had a tough battle against Tubby Alequin. A three-time no-gi world champion, she’s proven her mettle on the sub-only stage and beyond, and she’ll be a huge test for her opponent.
Gundrum has proven, however, that she’s not to be underestimated. Even before she was promoted to black belt, she made a name for herself as a “silent assassin.” She recently defeated fellow celebrated black belt Danielle Kelly in a special match at EBI’s Jiu-Jitsu Overtime back in July. Fontes won’t be the first black belt star she’s faced, but the question remains if her experience will be enough to dethrone the current champ.
Fight 2 Win 155 will take place on Friday, October 23 in Philadelphia, PA, and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
