It’s official: no-gi king Gordon Ryan will be facing off against longtime rival Felipe Pena on February 25, 2023 in a WNO headliner. The two are currently 2-1, with Pena owning one submission victory from 2016 and one points victory from 2017, and Gordon owning one victory as of August 2022, when Pena verbally tapped, in the aftermath of close friend Leandro Lo’s violent murder.
The upcoming February showdown between Ryan and Pena — which marks the fourth clash between the two — will give the otherwise seemingly unstoppable Ryan an opportunity to even the scoreboard.
Sharing the card will be brand new ADCC bronze medalist and long-time IBJJF legend Nicholas Meregali, who will be in rematch of his own against B-Team leader and leg locker extraordinaire Craig Jones. Meregali previously lost a decision to Jones at ADCC 2022, and will no doubt be hunting redemption.
