Gordon Ryan subs Vagner Rocha, wins another EBI belt

Gordon Ryan remains dominant in the Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI). Already the owner of the open and middleweight belts, the Danaher Death Squad member is now also the organization’s welterweight champion. The new victory came last weekend, when Gordon submitted Vagner Rocha with a rear naked choke in the tournament’s final.

On his way to the title, Ryan tapped Paul Lebosnoyani via rear naked choke in the first round; then he choked out Chris McKarski via guillotine; then a semifinal saw Marcel Gonçalves tap out to a choke from the back. On the other bracket, Rocha went through Joe Baize, Sergio Ardila and Craig Jones. Besides the belt, Gordon Ryan won the $20,000 top prize.
