Gordon Ryan is known more for his achievements in the sub-only world, but this year, we’ll get to see how he fares in the IBJJF world once again.
Earlier this evening, Ryan posted a screenshot on social media revealing that he’d officially signed up for IBJJF No-Gi Pans this year.
Although we haven’t recently seen Ryan testing his skills in the point-based tournament circuit, he’s not a stranger to IBJJF rules — he won No-Gi Worlds in 2015 as a brown belt, and in 2014, he took bronze at No-Gi Pans as a purple belt. Now an ADCC and multiple-time EBI champion, Ryan has clearly grown as a grappler, and it’ll be interesting to see how he’ll fare this time around.
